Report Missing Person Guide

Caregivers can create a missing report on CARA when a loved one with dementia is missing. Once the report is submitted, all active CARA members will receive a push notification* through their CARA app to view the report and help look out for the missing person.

 

*Push notifications must be enabled in user’s mobile phone settings

Submitting a missing report

STEP 1

Sign in to your CARA app.

Ensure you are logged in to your caregiver account and not the account of the person living with dementia.

STEP 2

Tap the option “Report Missing Person.

STEP 3

Tap the name of your loved one with dementia who is missing and key in additional details such as:

  • Height and other physical or behavioural traits

  • Last known attire

  • Last seen date, time & location

  • Places which your loved one usually frequents

STEP 4

Upload a recent photograph/s of your loved one.

You will need to agree that the information you have provided may be shared by Dementia Singapore on various platforms, including social media, for the purpose of locating your loved one.

If not ready to submit: Tap “Save as Draft” to continue later

If ready to submit: Tap “Submit Report

STEP 5

Tap “Confirm”.

END

All active CARA members will now receive a push notification* in their CARA app to inform them of the missing report.

(OPTIONAL)

Download your missing report as a PDF image to share it with your social network (e.g. Facebook, Whatsapp, Telegram etc.)

Closing a missing report

Follow these steps to close your report so that other CARA members will receive a notification that the missing person has been found.

STEP 1

Sign in to your CARA Caregiver account and tap “Report Missing Person”.

STEP 2

Tap on your loved one’s name to open the missing report which had been created earlier.

STEP 3

Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap “Close Existing Report”.

STEP 4

Tap “Confirm” to close report.

STEP 5

Once report is closd, it will be listed under the ‘Closed’ tab.
